Deepen your connection to the powerful practices of pranayama and meditation. Through both experience and instruction on the physiological processes and philosophical lessons commit to these life enhancing practices that bring us closer to spirit and inner wisdom.

Meditation as the 7th limb of the eight-limbed practice of yoga will be explored philosophically, across traditions. In addition, the process of setting intention, ethics and guidelines for practice, how to craft and deliver instruction, and strategies for bringing meditation into practice will be covered. Neuroscience, research, and meditation in the modern world will serve as a bridge for bringing this ancient practice into modern times

The anatomy of the respiratory system will serve as a backdrop for exploring the physiological effects of breath practice.  Effects of breathing on the nervous system will be covered and energetic and spiritual qualities will be highlighted. Through this training, participants will build confidence in using pranayama techniques and understand the importance of the relationship between breath and mind.
